How the LSU Data Analytics Bootcamp Works

The LSU Data Analytics Bootcamp is designed for students to pursue high-quality tech education while continuing to balance other commitments. Our part-time program provides the flexibility to fit career development into your life.

Bootcamp classes combine live online instruction with group and independent active learning challenges—all facilitated by industry-experienced professionals.

  • All classes are held weekly on Tuesday and Thursday.

    • 6:30pm-9:30pm CT

In addition to classroom lessons, part-time students can anticipate spending 6-8 hours studying and working on outside assignments each week.

Earn College Credit With Bootcamp

The LSU Data Analytics Bootcamp empowers students to further their education by actively working toward a bachelor’s degree while going through the bootcamp. Students who complete the bootcamp may be able to earn up to 6 elective credits once they are enrolled in either of the following online undergraduate degrees from LSU:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Analytics

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in General Business (all concentrations)

Grads of the LSU Data Analytics Bootcamp learn the skills they need to be qualified for entry-level roles like Data Analyst and Insights Analyst.

  • Yes, the LSU Data Analytics Bootcamp is beginner-friendly. It’s specifically designed for professionals without previous experience in data analytics. While some background knowledge is helpful, the only expectation is that students have general computer literacy skills in basics like efficiently using the Internet/cloud and Windows.

  • Your time with our career success team will include everything from workshops to one-on-one office hours to phone chats before big interviews. Alumni will also have access to a job board and have the opportunity to be connected with companies and organizations in our Employer Partner Network that are actively seeking qualified candidates.

  • To be eligible for the program, you must be at least 18 years old and a high school grad/GED holder by the start date of your intended cohort.

  • Students who complete the bootcamp may be able to earn up to 6 elective credits once they are enrolled in either of the following online undergraduate degrees from LSU:

    • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Analytics

    • Bachelor of Science (BS) in General Business (all concentrations)

  • Part-time students often continue working full-time while completing the bootcamp. Each week, students can expect to spend 9 hours in class and another 6-8 hours studying and completing assignments outside of class.

    Full-time students do not continue working due to the immersive nature of the LSU Data Analytics. By focusing solely on their training, they’re set up to thrive in the accelerated 10-week program.
